Turin handover for UEFA Europa League trophy

UEFA President Michel Platini will hand over the UEFA Europa League trophy to Turin on 16 April, with the city's Juventus Stadium to stage the final on 14 May.

The UEFA Europa League trophy will be handed over to the city of Turin, venue for this season's final, during a special ceremony taking place from 12.00CET on Wednesday 16 April at Palazzo Madama.

UEFA President Michel Platini will give the UEFA Europa League trophy to the mayor of Turin, Piero Fassino, with the event starting the countdown to the UEFA Europa League final at Juventus Stadium on Wednesday 14 May.

The handover ceremony will be conducted in the presence of the UEFA Europa League final ambassador Ciro Ferrara, with the president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), Giancarlo Abete, and representatives of last season's winners Chelsea FC, also in attendance. Mino Taveri from Sport Mediaset, host broadcaster for the final, will act as master of ceremonies.

Media representatives wishing to attend the handover ceremony need to apply via email to uelcuphandover@segreteria-evento.net before 13 April. Please note that the media working area has no internet connectivity. The handover ceremony will be followed by a mixed zone.
