Group stage starts tonight

The inaugural UEFA Cup group stage kicks off on Thursday night with the first 16 ties in Groups A-H.

Forty teams
Between now and 16 December, the 40 teams involved will compete for a place in the last 32 of the competition, with the top three in each group advancing.
