Porto sides eye derby final

City rivals FC Porto and Boavista FC will pursue the dream of an all-Portuguese UEFA Cup final on Thursday.

Name on the cup
Porto, 13 points clear in the Portuguese Super League, are at home against an S.S. Lazio side who, after an extraordinary season in which they have overcome serious financial problems, may well feel their name is on the trophy after surviving tough examinations against FK Crvena Zvezda and Wisla Kraków.

Home fortress
Boavista, meanwhile, face a stern test of character as they take on Celtic FC at Celtic Park. The Scottish champions have not lost at home in Europe since August 2001 - and the list of challengers includes Porto, Juventus FC, Valencia CF, VfB Stuttgart and Liverpool FC.

Lisbon legacy
Their hosts have long had an affinity with Portugal, since beating Internazionale FC in Lisbon to win the European Champion Clubs' Cup in 1967. Celtic may find they have to beat two Portuguese sides, though, if they are to win their first European silverware since that heady night 36 years ago.
