Ravanelli signs for Dundee

Former Italy striker Fabrizio Ravanelli has completed a move to Scottish side Dundee FC.

Two-year deal
The 34-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the club, who enter the UEFA Cup on Wednesday night with the home leg of their first-round tie against AC Perugia. Ravanelli will link up with former Derby County FC team-mate Craig Burley, another recent recruit by manager Jim Duffy .

Italian trip
Ravanelli will not be eligible for the UEFA Cup as players had to be registered before the 1 September deadline. However, should Dundee reach the third round he could be added to the club’s European squad in January. The return leg against Perugia, Ravanelli's hometown club, will be played on 15 October.
