UEFA Cup contenders NK Željeznicar have sacked coach Amar Osim two days after their 2-0 first round first-leg defeat at Heart of Midlothian FC.
Four-game losing streak
The result meant the Bosnia-Herzegovnian Cup holders had lost four games in a row. That run included two losses in the league and their exit from the cup they won last season as they were defeated by second division side FK Kozara.
Odovic in charge
Osim's assistant Kemal Alispahic had agreed to take over but then changed his mind, club president Sabahudin Zujo said on Friday. "Second assistant coach Milomir Odovic is an employee of the club and he will lead the team until we find a proper solution," Zujo said.
Hearts return
Željeznicar, who lie 12th in the Bosnia-Herzegovnian Premier League, welcome Scottish side Hearts to Sarajevo for the return leg on 15 October.
