FC Steaua Bucuresti defender Florentin Dumitru is almost certain to miss the return leg of the UEFA Cup first-round tie against Southampton FC because of a shoulder injury.

Cup win
Dumitru suffered the injury in the first half of yesterday's 4-0 Romanian Cup win against fourth division Chimia Craiova. After tests today, Steaua confirmed the right-back would be missing for between two and three weeks.

Misses Romania match
In this case, he will miss Romania's friendly against Japan on 11 October and the home match against Southampton four days later. It was Dumitru who provided the assist for Claudiu Raducanu's goal for Steaua in the first leg.
