The draw for the second round of the 2003/04 UEFA Cup will take place on Friday 17 October at 12.00CET at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
Draw procedure
The 48 teams participating in this draw will, in principle, be split into four groups of 12 with half the teams being seeded and the other half unseeded. Teams from the same country will not meet each other. The composition of the groups will be announced on uefa.com on the morning of 17 October. The list of clubs still involved, with their coefficients, can be found in today's UEFA media release.
Gothenburg final
The first round of the UEFA Cup concludes next week with 44 second-leg ties on Wednesday and four on Thursday. The eight third-placed clubs at the end of the UEFA Champions League group stage will enter the UEFA Cup in the third round.
