AJ Auxerre defender Jean-Sébastien Jaurès will miss Wednesday's UEFA Cup first round second-leg tie with Neuchâtel Xamax FC after fracturing a bone in his right foot.
Three-week absence
The injury will keep the 26-year-old left-back out of action for around three weeks. Jaurès's natural replacement, Jean-Joêl Perrier-Doumbé, is also a doubt after picking up a knock while on international duty with Cameroon last week.
Slender lead
Auxerre travel to Switzerland holding a 1-0 advantage. If Auxerre, currently eighth in Ligue 1, make the next round, Jaurès should return to fitness in time for the second-round first leg on 6 November.
