One-year deal
The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who has won 16 caps for his country and appeared in the recent UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifying games against Estonia and Andorra, has agreed a one-year contract with the option of a further year's extension. His present deal was due to expire at the end of the season, and Ivankov becomes the first Levski player to commit his future to the club since new coach Georgi Vasilev was appointed last week.
Slender advantage
The Bulgarian side currently lie in fourth place in the Premier League with 15 points from eight matches. They take a 1-0 lead into the home leg of their UEFA Cup first-round tie with Hapoel Ramat-Gan FC on Wednesday.
