Angulo blow for Valencia

Miguel Angulo will miss Valencia CF's UEFA Cup third round trip to Celtic FC on Thursday after pulling a muscle in his left leg.

Valencia CF midfield player Miguel Angulo will miss his side's UEFA Cup third round second-leg match against Celtic FC on Thursday after pulling a muscle in his left leg.

Important matches
Club doctor José Cardel has confirmed that the injury will keep Angulo out for three weeks, meaning he will miss four important matches.

Training injury
The 24-year-old, a regular in Rafael Benítez’s side, was injured during training and will sit out the Celtic match, in addition to the Primera División fixtures against RC Deportivo La Coruña, RCD Espanyol and Málaga CF.

Vicente to deputise
Benítez will once again ask left-sided midfield player Vicente Rodríguez to fill in on the right wing at Celtic Park stadium as he did on Saturday in the 1-1 draw with RCD Mallorca. Midfield player Francisco Rufete, the natural choice to take Angulo's place, is also injured.

Mestalla victory
Valencia won the first leg of their intriguing tie with the Scottish champions 1-0 in the Mestalla stadium on 22 November, Vicente netting the crucial goal in the 75th minute.
