Ferreira fills gap for Marseille

Timely arrival
The arrival of the full-back could not have come sooner. Sébastien Perez's injury, Habib Beye's departure to the African Cup of Nations and Fabien Laurenti's transfer to AC Ajaccio have left coach Jose Anigo short of options on the right side of defence.

Ferrerira has been in France since arriving at AS Nancy Lorraine in 1998. After two years there, he signed for Bastia and has played 96 league games for the Corsican side. Marseille are presently sixth in Ligue 1 and will face Ukraine's FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the UEFA Cup third round on 26 February and 3 March.
