The Dutch international played all 90 minutes of Sunday's 2-1 win at CA Osasuna but suffered internal bruising to his right calf muscle during the match. A scan today revealed the damage was more serious than first thought and Cocu will be missing for the next two weeks.
Overmars fit
While Cocu faces a race to be fit for the UEFA Cup third round first-leg tie against Brøndby on 26 February, better news for Barça coach Frank Rijkaard is that winger Marc Overmars has been given the all-clear to resume playing following his hamstring injury.
