Valencia CF defender David Navarro will sit out his team's UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie against Club Brugge KV due to a tear in his right thigh.

The 29-year-old was withdrawn after just six minutes of his team's 2-0 Liga win against Real Valladolid CF on Saturday with tests having revealed the extent of the injury. Navarro is now expected to be out of action for the next three weeks. Valencia travel to Belgium on 18 February for the first leg of the last-32 tie, playing the home fixture seven days later.
