Valencia CF's defensive injury crisis worsened ahead of Thursday's UEFA Europa League quarter-final decider against Club Atlético de Madrid with the news that Ángel Dealbert will be out for three weeks because of a right thigh tear.

The 26-year-old was replaced by Rubén Baraja 15 minutes into the 3-0 defeat of CA Osasuna on Sunday and has now been added to an injury list that already contains defenders Bruno Saltor, Jérémy Mathieu (both ankle), Carlos Marchena and Miguel (both thigh). Meanwhile, David Navarro – who missed the teams' 2-2 first-leg draw at Mestalla – has returned to training following a toe injury but is unlikely to feature against Los Rojiblancos.
