Striker Marcus Berg has returned to Dutch football with PSV Eindhoven on a season-long loan from Hamburger SV.

The 23-year-old Swedish international is back in the Eredivisie where he scored 32 goals in 56 games for Groningen before an undisclosed move to Hamburg last summer. "It's nice to be here," Berg said. "I know Dutch football and the language already but I'm new to this club and will do all I can to succeed."

Berg signed a contract until June 2014 with Hamburg in the wake of an outstanding UEFA European Under-21 Championship which brought him seven goals in four matches. He found the net only four times in 30 Bundesliga outings last term, although 14 of those appearances were from the bench.

Originally of IFK Göteborg, Berg is scheduled to revisit Germany for a five-day training camp ahead of PSV's entry into the UEFA Europa League in the play-off round.
