Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart have completed the signing of forward Johan Audel on a four-year contract from French club Valenciennes FC.
Valenciennes confirmed on Monday the departure of the 26-year-old Frenchman who underwent a medical at UEFA Europa League challengers Stuttgart ahead of finalising the €1.5m move. The left-footed Audel spent three seasons with Valenciennes – scoring 23 goals in 77 league appearances – and had previously played for LOSC Lille Métropole and FC Lorient after coming through the academy at OGC Nice. After seeing off Molde FK in the third qualifying round, Stuttgart continue their UEFA Europa League campaign with a play-off against ŠK Slovan Bratislava on 19 and 26 August.
