Robben out of Auxerre return

PSV Eindhoven winger Arjen Robben has been ruled out for up to six weeks after tearing a hamstring.

Arjen Robben looks set to miss the return leg of PSV Eindhoven's UEFA Cup fourth-round tie with AJ Auxerre and the Netherlands' friendly against France after suffering a hamstring injury.

Month out
The 20-year-old left-winger sustained the injury to his right leg during PSV's 1-1 draw at Auxerre on Thursday night. Although Robben had said he hoped to be back by the end of March, a hospital examination on Friday revealed a tear and a PSV statement read: "The expectations are that the recovery period of Arjen Robben will last four to six weeks."

Matches missed
Robben, who is to join Chelsea FC at the end of the season in a €18m deal, will be out for the home leg against Auxerre on 25 March, the Dutch friendly with France six days later and most likely even the UEFA Cup quarter-finals on 8 and 14 April, should PSV advance.
