Sporting Clube de Portugal will be without injured pair Liedson and Matías Fernández for their UEFA Europa League trip to KAA Gent on 4 November.

Both players picked up knocks during Sunday's 1-0 Liga home win against Rio Ave FC. Striker Liedson – who scored twice when Gent visited Lisbon on Matchday 3 – will be sidelined for three weeks after suffering a right thigh strain. Chile midfielder Matías Fernández will be unavailable for about a month with a left knee problem.

They join defender Anderson Polga, who twisted his left ankle against Gent and is out for two weeks, on the list of players not travelling to Belgium alongside long-term casualties Pedro Mendes and Leandro Grimi. Sporting lead Group C after winning their first three games and can secure their passage to the last 32 on Matchday 4.
