CSKA Moskva to do without Berezutski

PFC CSKA Moskva defender Aleksei Berezutski will sit out the UEFA Europa League Group F visit of US Città di Palermo on Matchday 4 after succumbing to a thigh problem.

Russia defender Aleksei Berezutski will miss PFC CSKA Moskva's UEFA Europa League fixture against US Città di Palermo next Thursday due to a thigh muscle injury.

The 28-year-old limped out of Wednesday's 0-0 Russian Premier-Liga draw at FC Dinamo Moskva complaining of pain in his leg and tests have confirmed that he needs at least ten days' rest. A point at home to Palermo on 4 November would take CSKA through to the round of 32, the Group F leaders having won all of their three matches 3-0.
