Germany Under-20 attacking midfielder Karim Bellarabi will move from third-tier TSV Eintracht Braunschweig to UEFA Europa League hopefuls Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the summer.
Bellarabi, 20, will make the switch to Leverkusen on a free transfer having agreed a contract which ties him to the club until 2014. "We are very pleased to sign a promising player like Karim Bellarabi," said Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Völler. "He is a big talent who we carefully want to nurture at Leverkusen."
Bellarabi has scored six goals in 20 league games for Braunschweig this season. "It is a great challenge and one I am looking forward to," he said. "I had a number of good meetings with the management and I think there is already a good squad there." Bellarabi's future employers begin their UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie at FC Metalist Kharkiv on 17 February, with the home return the following week.
