S.S. Lazio have signed goalkeeper Federico Marchetti from Serie A rivals Cagliari Calcio after concluding deals with Senad Lulić, Miroslav Klose and Abdoulay Konko in recent weeks.
A fee of around €5m has reportedly changed hands for Italian international Marchetti, 28, who came through the youth system at Torino FC before joining Cagliari from Serie B side UC Albinoleffe in 2008.
Rated as one of the Italian league's top custodians after making 68 league appearances for Cagliari, he was capped for the first time in a friendly against Northern Ireland in June 2009, and deputised for the injured Gianluigi Buffon in three fixtures at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Fifth in Serie A last season, Lazio kick off their UEFA Europa League campaign in the play-off round.
