Sporting Clube de Portugal have unveiled FC Barcelona winger Jeffrén Suárez as their latest signing of a busy summer for the Lisbon club.
The Venezuelan-born player penned a five-year deal at the Estádio José Alvalade after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee. "Here I can play more and grow as a player," said Jeffrén, who scored three goals in 22 Liga outings for the European champions. "I want to win titles."
Jeffrén, 23, was a member of the Spain squad which won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship earlier this summer and joins the likes of Valeri Bojinov, Diego Capel and Oguchi Onyewu at Sporting in becoming the club's 14th signing since the end of last season.
Sporting will discover who stands between them and a place in the UEFA Europa League group stage when the play-off draw is made in Nyon on Friday at 13.30CET.
