Hannover 96 will be without Norwegian international Henning Hauger for their forthcoming UEFA Europa League match against FC København because of a persistent groin complaint.
The 26-year old is suffering from a double groin injury and is scheduled to undergo surgery in Munich on Monday. It is uncertain for how long Hauger will be sidelined, but he will definitely miss Saturday's Bundesliga fixture at VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach, next Thursday's UEFA Europa League tie in Copenhagen, and the subsequent league encounter with FC Schalke 04 on 6 November.
The midfielder, who has been capped 23 times by his country, arrived from Stabæk Fotball in the summer and has so far featured in three Bundesliga matches and made two UEFA Europa League appearances. With five points from three games, the Lower Saxony outfit are level with UEFA Europa League Group B leaders R. Standard de Liège.
Following their København visit, Mirko Slomka's side, who lie fourth in the Bundesliga, travel to Liege on 30 November before finishing their group campaign at home to FC Vorskla Poltava on 15 December.
