Uruguay's Alfaro joins Lazio

UEFA Europa League hopefuls S.S. Lazio have signed 23-year-old Uruguay forward Emiliano Alfaro from Montevideo-based Liverpool FC on a contract running until June 2016.

S.S. Lazio have signed Uruguay forward Emiliano Alfaro from Liverpool FC of Montevideo.

The 23-year-old has moved for an undisclosed fee on a contract until June 2016. Alfaro, who made his senior Uruguay debut in a 1-0 friendly win against Italy on 15 November, was a Liverpool trainee and has spent his entire career with the club, save for a spell in Argentina at CA San Lorenzo. Fourth in Serie A, Lazio resume their UEFA Europa League campaign against Club Atlético de Madrid in the round of 32 on 16 and 23 February.
