
Marko Pantelić will miss the rest of the season after the Olympiacos FC striker fractured an ankle.
The 33-year-old suffered the injury during training and underwent surgery on Friday afternoon. The club's medical staff confirmed the Serbian international will require ten weeks to recover, ruling him out of the remainder of their UEFA Europa League campaign and their quest for a domestic double.
Pantelić, who has ten goals from his 43 international appearances, is the third highest scorer in the Greek Super League this term having struck ten times in 12 matches. Olympiacos host FC Rubin Kazan on Thursday holding a 1-0 advantage from the first leg of their UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie.
