Sporting Clube de Portugal duo Oguchi Onyewu and Fabián Rinaudo have been ruled out for two months and ten days respectively by injuries sustained at the weekend.

Centre-back Onyewu is to undergo surgery after twisting his right knee during the first half of Sunday's 1-0 Liga victory at home to FC Paços de Ferreira. Midway through the second period of the match midfielder Rinaudo sprained his left ankle having only returned earlier this month from a fracture to the same joint, an injury picked up during a UEFA Europa League group game at FC Vaslui in November.

As a result both players will miss the second leg of Sporting's UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie on Thursday in Lisbon against Legia Warszawa. Last week's first leg finished 2-2.
