His Beşiktaş JK side may be down but Rüştü Reçber is hoping they will not soon be out as they prepare to host UEFA Europa League rivals Club Atlético de Madrid in the second leg of their last-16 tie on Thursday.
Although they trail Atlético 3-1 from last week's opening exchange in Spain, the 38-year-old goalkeeper cites the victory over SC Braga, runners-up last season, in the previous round as a "turning point" for his team which set up the possibility of travelling far in a competition that concludes with a Bucharest final. In an interview with UEFA.com he explains why he has the scent of glory in his nostrils. "If you survive this round, you're in the quarter finals. One more [win] and you're in the semi-finals, and one more you're in the final."
