Levante UD have made five signings as they prepare for their European debut next month.
Last season's sixth-placed Liga finishers, who will be in the UEFA Europa League play-offs, have given permanent deals to three players who had been on loan – Arouna Koné, David Navarro and Keylor Navas – and added right midfielders Pedro Ríos and Miguel Herrero 'Michel'.
Ivory Coast striker Koné, 28, scored 15 goals last year for Levante and has signed a one-year deal with a 12-month option after the expiry of his Sevilla FC contract. Centre-back Navarro, 32, has agreed a similar arrangement after a six-month loan from Neuchâtel Xamax FC while 25-year-old Costa Rica goalkeeper Navas has a contract running until 2015 having departed Albacete Balompié.
Ríos, 30, arrives from Getafe CF while Michel has departed Valencia CF having spent last season on loan with second-tier Hércules CF. The play-off draw is on 10 August and the two-legged tie on 23 and 30 August.
