FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk have signed midfielder Olexandr Aliyev on loan from Ukrainian Premier League rivals FC Dynamo Kyiv until the end of the year.

Aliyev, who featured once for Ukraine at UEFA EURO 2012, was on the transfer list at the Olympic Stadium having failed to settle with the Bilo-Syni following his return to the club from FC Lokomotiv Moskva in March 2011.

Last season, the 27-year-old scored five goals in 26 appearances as Dynamo finished runners-up to FC Shakhtar Donetsk for the third successive campaign. The Russian-born player made his name in the capital during his first spell, inspiring Dynamo to the most recent of their 13 Ukrainian titles in 2008/09 with 13 goals in 26 outings prior to leaving for Lokomotiv.

While his parent club begin their European campaign in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, Dnipro enter the UEFA Europa League at the play-off stage.
