UEFA Europa League challengers Valencia CF have strengthened with the signing of Colombian international attacker Dorlan Pabón who arrives at the Mestalla from Mexico's CF Monterrey for a reported fee of €7.5m.
The 25-year-old – who spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis Balompié – agreed terms on a four-year contract with Miroslav Djukić's side and said he was "extremely happy" to be joining a team that "is always fighting to win titles."
A scorer of three goals in 15 senior appearances for Colombia, Pabón arrived in Europe at Parma FC last season but having failed to settle at the Serie A side, he was loaned out to Betis where he impressed with eight goals in 17 Liga games.
"I think that I will adapt well to what my new coach is looking for here at Valencia as I am a player who is quick and has good movement in behind defensive lines," the versatile winger explained. Valencia will learn their UEFA Europa League fate when the group stage draw in made in Monaco on Friday.
