Tottenham Hotspur FC midfielder Paulinho looks to set be out until February due to an ankle injury.

The Brazilian international suffered "significant ligament damage" to his right ankle during Sunday's 3-0 Premier League victory against Stoke City FC. A Spurs statement revealed that the 25-year-old will be unavailable for "at least four weeks".

Spurs, seventh in the Premier League, finished top of UEFA Europa League Group K with a perfect record under former manager André Villas-Boas. The Portuguese left White Hart Lane earlier this month, leaving new incumbent Tim Sherwood to take Spurs into their round of 32 tie against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. The first leg is in Ukraine on 20 February.
