Real Betis Balompié have strengthened their squad for the second half of the season with the capture of Léo Baptistão on loan from Club Atlético de Madrid.
The 21-year-old Brazilian has made just five league appearances for Diego Simeone's men this campaign, and joins Liga's bottom club until the end of the season. The forward arrived in Spain as a 16-year-old at Rayo Vallecano de Madrid before signing a five-year deal at Atlético in the summer. "I am coming to a great club with fantastic fans," he said after joining Betis. "I am very happy and eager to get to work and to help out in every way I can."
The Seville club host FC Rubin Kazan in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League round of 16 tie on 20 February, with the return in Russia taking place the following Thursday.
