Real Betis Balompié winger Álvaro Vadillo is in serious danger of missing his team's UEFA Europa League round of 32 opener at FC Rubin Kazan after the 19-year-old suffered a hamstring tear.

The former Spain Under-19 international sustained the injury during Friday's 4-2 Liga defeat at RC Celta de Vigo, a result that left Los Verdiblancos five points adrift at the bottom of the Spanish top flight. Subsequent tests revealed Vadillo had suffered a tear in his right leg, meaning he will be absent for up to four weeks. With Betis scheduled to host Rubin on 20 February, the attacker is therefore facing a race against time to be fit. Gabriel Calderón's side travel to Russia for the return leg a week later.
