Injured Nacho to miss Betis' Rubin trip

Real Betis Balompié will travel to FC Rubin Kazan without experienced defender Nacho who will miss the UEFA Europa League round of 32 second leg with a bruised fibula.

Real Betis Balompié must plan for Thursday's UEFA Europa League round of 32 return match at FC Rubin Kazan without full-back Nacho who has injured his left leg in training.

The 33-year-old defender – who recently recovered from a back complaint – suffered a badly bruised fibula at Betis's training ground on Monday, ruling him out of the trip to Russia where Rubin will hold a slight advantage after last week's 1-1 draw in Seville. Nacho was hurt when a team-mate landed on his leg after the veteran had fallen in a practice game.

Betis took a third-minute lead at the Benito Villamarín on Thursday thanks to Dídac Vilà, but were pegged back by ten-man opponents following Roman Eremenko's penalty 16 minutes from time.
