Abete hopes for UEFA Europa League legacy

Italian Football Federation president Giancarlo Abete hopes next month's UEFA Europa League final will leave a lasting legacy as Turin receives the trophy.

Italian Football Federation president Giancarlo Abete says that Turin "will be a beautiful place for international football on a global stage" as the city receives the UEFA Europa League trophy ahead of this May's final.

Italian Football Federation (FIGC) president Giancarlo Abete hopes the UEFA Europa League final will leave fond memories at Juventus Stadium, with the trophy being handed over to the city of Turin.

"This country has been protagonist and host of big events, as Turin has been," he told UEFA.com. "So this gives us the opportunity to present a stadium which is the best and most modern one we have at the moment, in terms of technology, and also in relation to the fans and spectators. It sends a message of legacy for the country of Italy."
