Dosunmu heads to Austria

Nigerian striker Tosin Dosunmu is moving to the Austrian Bundesliga in a €1m transfer to FK Austria Wien.

'High offer'
The 24-year-old arrives from Belgian side KVC Westerlo where he was a huge hit last season, scoring 16 times in 34 games. Nonetheless, Dosunmu has departed on good terms. "It's a pity he is leaving but €1m is such a high offer for a club like Westerlo that we could not refuse it," said director Wim Van Hove.

One cap
The striker had joined Westerlo on a free transfer 18 months ago after his previous team KV Mechelen went bankrupt. Dosunmu, capped once by Nigeria, was formerly with RWD Molenbeek and SK Denderhoutem. Austria Wien face Polish side Legia Warszawa in the 2004/05 UEFA Cup first round.
