Both FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Sevilla FC secured 3-2 wins on Saturday in their last matches before facing off in the UEFA Europa League final in Warsaw.

FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 3-2 FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Dnipro moved to within two points of second-placed Shakhtar with a game to go, keeping alive their hopes of a UEFA Champions League third qualifying slot for next season, should they not defeat Sevilla to guarantee a group-stage place. Dnipro had extra motivation after Shakhtar held them 1-1 in midweek to reach the Ukrainian Cup final 2-1 on aggregate.
Alex Teixeira put Shakhtar ahead early on and made it 2-1 after 27 minutes following a Matheus equaliser. Roman Bezus levelled just past the hour and with nine minutes to go 19-year-old substitute Valeriy Luchkevych hit the winner, Shakhtar losing Yaroslav Rakitskiy to a late red card. Dnipro complete their league programme at FC Hoverla Uzhhorod next Saturday.

Coach Myron Markevich said: "The priority was to produce a good display. I had previously said that we would rest players for Wednesday. We didn't want any injuries. Those who played, though, were up to the task."

Málaga CF 2-3 Sevilla FC
Sevilla almost let a three-goal lead slip in their closing Liga match, but although they held on to win their hopes of a top-four finish were dashed. Málaga lost Weligton to a 26th-minute red card for a foul on Kevin Gameiro but the home side were still level at half-time.

However, by the 62nd minute it was 3-0, José Antonio Reyes making the most of a Coke pass, Éver Banega getting a stylish second and Aleix Vidal making it three. Javi Guerra pulled one back on 67 minutes and struck again in added time. Unai Emery's side held out, yet Valencia CF's comeback 3-2 win at UD Almería was enough for them to seal a 2015/16 UEFA Champions League play-off position.

Sevilla are ensured a UEFA Europa League group stage berth, but can exceed that with victory on Wednesday.
