FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk midfield player Ruslan Rotan has been sidelined for two weeks with a hip injury.
UEFA Cup loss
The Ukrainian international sustained the knock during his side's 2-1 defeat by FC Dynamo Kyiv on Monday and will now be unavailable for the next two league games and, crucially, Dnipro's UEFA Cup first-round second leg fixture against Maccabi Haifa FC next Thursday. The Ukrainian side lost 1-0 in the first leg in Israel.
Venhlinskyy return
The 22-year-old's loss is a blow to Dnipro, but coach Yevgen Kucherevskyy has been buoyed by the return of striker Oleh Venhlinskyy who came on as a substitute against Dynamo and made an immediate impact, scoring his side's only goal of the game.
