Danish international striker Kenneth Perez has extended his contract with Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar until July 2007.
Perez, 30, started his career at FC København and joined Alkmaar halfway through the 1999/2000 season from MVV Maastricht. His current contract was due to expire next summer.
He said: "I fit in very well in Dutch football. If none of the top clubs want me, then I cannot be anywhere better then AZ. And AZ provided me with a very good offer. I feel really settled here." Alkmaar qualified for the UEFA Cup group stage on Thursday evening by beating FC PAOK Thessaloniki 5-3 on aggregate. The draw is on Tuesday.
