Grammy-nominated duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso have been confirmed for a very special one-off performance at the Friends Arena in their home town of Stockholm during the opening ceremony of the UEFA Europa League final on 24 May.

The duo – consisting of DJ/producers Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell – previously performed to a sell-out crowd at the Friends Arena in 2012, as members of Swedish House Mafia. They promise to put on yet another signature show, celebrating some of their biggest hits past and present, for the global sporting spectacular that is the UEFA Europa League final. Of the much-anticipated booking, Axwell /\ Ingrosso said: "It's an honour to return to the Friends Arena in our home town of Stockholm for this huge sporting event."

With over 300 million plays of their music worldwide to date, Axwell Λ Ingrosso's singles include US Billboard Dance No1 Something New and the four-time platinum-selling Sun Is Shining, the video for which currently has more than 65 million views on YouTube. The pioneering pair were also, of course, founding members of the seminal Swedish House Mafia – one of the biggest electronic acts of all time, who have sold more than one million tickets worldwide and over 11 million singles.
