- José Mourinho rested a raft of key players for Wednesday's final as Manchester United ended their domestic season with a comfortable win to finish sixth in the Premier League. The turnover meant debuts for left-back Demetri Mitchell and Josh Harrop on the left side of the attack – and it proved a dream day for 21-year-old Harrop as he struck the opening goal, picking up a fine Paul Pogba pass and demonstrating quick footwork in the area before unleashing an excellent strike. Pogba then increased the lead himself and was replaced ahead of the half-time break, after which 16-year-old Angel Gomes came on to become the first Premier League player born this century.
