Highlights: Köln 1-0 Arsenal

Timo Horn (Köln)
Struggling Köln pulled off a shock 1-0 victory over Arsenal and had their goalkeeper to thank. His seven saves included five from inside the penalty area, and he made another four interventions to keep a rare clean sheet.

Defenders

Highlights: Lyon 4-0 Apollon

Stefan Lainer (Salzburg) 
The second most productive full-back on matchday five, Lainer provided an assist, created three chances, produced six crosses, and did a solid job defensively to help his team keep a clean sheet in a 2-0 win at Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
Overall ranking: 8 (+14)

Mouctar Diakhaby (Lyon) 
Diakhaby helped Lyon beat Apollon 4-0, chipping in with a goal. He added nine defensive interventions, and found a team-mate with all but six of his 57 passes.
Overall ranking: 82 (+156)

Veaceslav Posmac (Sheriff)
Sheriff remain in contention in Group F after beating Zlín 1-0 thanks to an immense defensive display. Posmac was key, making eight clearances, four interceptions and winning four aerial duels as well as three tackles.

Ricardo Rodríguez (AC Milan)
The left-sided Swiss defender leapt up the rankings thanks to a first-half goal and assist. Eleven of his 24 passes came in the attacking third and he created four chances for team-mates and produced five crosses.

Midfielders

Bryan Cristante (Atalanta)
Bryan Cristante's masterful performance was capped by the first two of Atalanta's five goals away to Everton. He created two chances and 14 of his 22 passes came in the attacking third.

Highlights: Braga 3-1 Hoffenheim

Fransérgio (Braga)
Two late Fransérgio goals took Braga through to the knockout phase as they beat Hoffenheim 3-1. Up until that point, his defensive play was key, with seven interventions at the back.

Josef Hušbauer (Slavia)
The Slavia captain scored goals either side of half-time to help his side to an excellent 2-0 win at Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Hušbauer created two chances, but it was his finishing from his only two attempts that proved the difference.

Forwards

Highlights: Lokomotiv 2-1 København

Jefferson Farfán (Lokomotiv Moskva) 
Farfán moved into the top 20 of the rankings thanks to scoring both his side's goals in the 2-1 win against København. The Peruvian has scored five in his last six matches for club and country.

André Silva (AC Milan) 
André Silva joined Zenit's Emiliano Rigoni on a UEFA Europa League leading six goals with two against Austria Wien. The Portuguese striker was the highest-ranked forward on the evening after an excellent display in a 5-1 win.

Daniel Raba (Villarreal) 
Youth-team product Raba recorded one of the highest scores on matchday five on his European debut. The talented winger scored, created three chances, made three dribbles and produced three crosses in a 3-2 win at Astana.
