The sending off of Patrick Kisnorbo changed the game. Up until then we contained them and they hadn't really created a chance. Unfortunately we lost a goal - a tremendous strike - but the players gave us everything. We have to be fair, though, and say that they were the better side when they had one man extra. It will be difficult to qualify now, but not impossible. Hearts manager John Robertson
Hearts played with a lot of passion. We didn't really get to grips with them in the first half and didn't really play the ball on the ground enough. We did a lot better in the second half, not least because we had an extra man. We made good use of the extra space, particularly out wide where Nils Oude Kamphuis delivered some great crosses. Even before the goal we had two or three clear-cut chances. I think overall we deserved the win and we're now in an excellent position to qualify. Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick
You have to be satisfied with an away draw in Europe. We lacked power in attack during the first half; in the second we played with two up and a flat midfield and things went better. We had chances to score and could have won. With every match this team is improving a little, and tonight they've learned that away games at this level are settled by the smallest details. Feyenoord coach Ruud Gullit
Each team can only do as much as the other team allows. We controlled the game and were closer to winning it than Feyenoord. Ferencváros coach Csaba László
