Hinkel injury hurts Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart defender Andreas Hinkel is a doubt for the club's next UEFA Cup tie against SC Heerenveen.

Hamstring trouble
The 22-year-old has been ever-present in the Bundesliga this season but suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's 4-0 win against FC Hansa Rostock. He is expected to be out of action for three weeks, putting a question mark against his availability for the Group G trip to the Netherlands.

Out of cup tie
Hinkel definitely misses important matches against FC Bayern München, in the German Cup on Wednesday, and against league leaders VfL Wolfsburg and VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga.
