FK Partizan have signed Nigerian forward Obiora Emmanuel Odita from Serbo-Montenegrin second division side FK Javor.
Long-term deal
The 22-year-old has agreed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Belgrade club, and could be eligible to play in their UEFA Cup last-32 tie against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk next month. Odita began his career with Ranger FC in his homeland and left for Europe in June 2002.
High hopes
Odita said: "I'm happy as l have a chance to play at the top level. I believe in myself. Having the chance of European competition and a domestic battle for the league and cup is a real challenge for me. I will give everything I can."
Leading the way
Leaders Partizan are three points clear of FK Crvena Zvezda after 15 rounds of the Prva liga season and will face their city rivals in the cup semi-finals in March.
