Mila time for Austria

UEFA Cup contenders FK Austria Wien have signed Polish international Sebastian Mila for an undisclosed fee.

UEFA Cup contenders FK Austria Wien have strengthen their squad with the acquisition of Polish international Sebastian Mila from Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski for an undisclosed fee.

Optional extension
The 22-year-old playmaker, who has 15 international caps to his name, has signed a contract which will keep him at the capital club until June 2007 with the option of a further year. He is not cup-tied, so will therefore be eligible to join the club's UEFA Cup campaign.

Key player
Mila, who joined Groclin in the middle of the 2001/02 season, quickly established himself as a key player, scoring 14 goals in 74 top-flight games. He joins compatriots and former Poland internationals Krzysztof Ratajczyk and Radoslaw Gilewicz at Austria.

High flyers
Austria are currently second placed in the Austrian 1. Bundesliga, trailing leaders SK Rapid Wien by just one point. They face the Spanish side Athletic Club Bilbao in the UEFA Cup's Round of 32.
