Fresh injury blow for Ehiogu

Middlesbrough FC expect to be without Ugo Ehiogu for "some time" after he sustained knee ligament damage.

Injury-hit campaign
The former English international hurt himself in a collision with Middlesbrough goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer during the 1-1 draw, and tests have confirmed the seriousness of the injury. It was only Ehiogu's third league appearance of the season, with the 32-year-old having been troubled by a persistent calf problem.

Grazer doubt
It remains to be seen if Ehiogu will be back in time for the UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against Austria's Grazer AK next month. The first leg is scheduled for 17 February with the return a week later.

Reiziger worry
Middlesbrough also have a question mark against the fitness of right-back Michael Reiziger. The former Dutch international injured a little toe against Everton, and the club are unsure as to whether there is a fracture.
