Scottish midfielder Michael Stewart has crossed the Edinburgh divide by signing a one-year deal with UEFA Cup entrants Hibernian FC.
The 24-year-old former Manchester United FC player spent last season on loan at city rivals Heart of Midlothian FC, but was not offered a new contract. Hibernian manager Tony Mowbray, who will lead his team into the UEFA Cup first round in September, said: "I am confident we can provide Michael with the platform to achieve his full potential and be the player we know he can be."
