Sorrentino arrives at AEK

AEK Athens FC have signed 26-year-old Italian goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino on a free transfer from Torino Calcio

Three-year contract
The 26-year-old former S.S. Lazio and Juventus FC player has agreed a contract running until summer 2008 after helping Torino to promotion from Serie B.

'Very happy'
He told AEK's website: "I am very happy about this move. I already knew AEK were one of the best teams in Greece. I will do my best to have a good season and to satisfy the fans. I wanted to take my career a step further, that's why I chose AEK."

First-round bow
AEK, third in Greece last term, begin their UEFA Cup campaign in the first round, and will learn their opponents on 26 August.
