AEK land Siena centre-half

AEK Athens FC completed the signing of Italian centre-half Bruno Cirillo from AC Siena on a three-year contract.

Reggina roots
The 28-year-old, who began his career at Reggina Calcio and played 14 Serie A games for FC Internazionale Milano in 2000/01, was a regular with Italian top-flight side Siena last season. He is expected to fill the void left by Bruno Alves, who returned to FC Porto this summer after an impressive year on loan in Athens.

'Excellent choice'
"I am very happy with the move," said Cirillo. "AEK are prestigious and an excellent choice for my first experience away from Italy. I hope I will repay the trust invested in me. I wish us a good season and hope everything goes well."
